The only way this is possible is that you have the non-EMEA version of MOTOTRBO. In which case, even with a DP4400 code plug, you would still not be able to modify a DP4400.
#Mototrbo cps 12.1 aa software
MOTOTRBO radios and software are region specific. If you look on the back of any Motorola Solutions radio, you will find a number that looks something like this " MDH56RDC9JA1AN". This model number is for a EMEA UHF DP4400 (non-E) version. The first two letters ( MD) represent EMEA region, AA would be USA/North America.

There are more regions including South America, Australia/New Zealand, China etc. In EMEA and USA, there is a distinct difference between the radios - and they're called different things. For example, there is no DP4400 in the USA but an identical radio called XPR7350. But nevertheless, you need MOTOTRBO USA / North America to program an XPR7350 - and it will not program a EMEA model. In Australia / New Zealand region, the DP4400 whilst appears to be the same radio as the EMEA DP4400 is, in fact, a different region radio. MOTOTRBO Radio Management software allows you to import your code plug created with MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0 (or MOTOTRBO v1 subversion 16.8 and upgraded with MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0).
#Mototrbo cps 12.1 aa upgrade
If you have radios on this firmware, you either need to upgrade or continue using CPS version 16.0 (or older). This means that if youre building a fleet of radios and youve been using MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0, you can easily transition to Radio Manager. The first generation radios will still be supported - I have tested that myself and can read my DP3601 using CPS2. You can open CTB files, created in an older CPS version but can only save the file (and any changes) as a CTB2 file. The older CPS will not be able to open this CTB2 file.

You cannot open more than one codeplug at a time. If you want to open multiple files, you need to start a 2nd instance of the CPS2. You can open XPBA files that were generated by someone using Radio Management.Ĭlone Express allows you to clone a codeplug into multiple radios of the same model. The CPS2 will read out the radio identity parameters of the target radio merge them with the opened codeplug then write the merged codeplug to the target devices. This was possible in the old CPS but required you to change preferences each time you wanted to do this. Radio Management Template Mode (otherwise known as RM 1.0) is no longer supported. If you are using Radio Management Template Mode, there are two choices: This is necessary to support future features while keeping the user interface uncluttered.
